Síntomas:

La deficiencia de ácido fólico puede causar:

  • Diarrea
  • Canas
  • Úlceras bucales
  • Úlcera péptica
  • Crecimiento insuficiente
  • Hinchazón de la lengua

Pruebas y exámenes:

La deficiencia de folato se puede diagnosticar con un examen de sangre. A las mujeres embarazadas generalmente se les hacen dichos exámenes durante los chequeos prenatales.
