SÃndrome de Turner

Tratamiento:
La hormona del crecimiento puede ayudar a una niña con sÃndrome de Turner a incrementar su estatura. La terapia con reemplazo de estrógenos se inicia usualmente cuando la niña tiene 12 ó 13 años de edad y ayuda a estimular el crecimiento de las mamas, del vello púbico y de otras caracterÃsticas sexuales.
Las mujeres con este sÃndrome que deseen quedar en embarazo pueden pensar en la utilización de un óvulo de donante.

Expectativas (pronóstico):
Las personas afectadas por el sÃndrome de Turner pueden tener una vida normal con el control cuidadoso de su médico.

- Diabetes
- Tiroiditis de Hashimoto
- Cataratas
- Artritis
- Escoliosis (en adolescentes)
