Hiperplasia suprarrenal congénita - Symptom

Síntomas:

Las niñas generalmente tendrán órganos reproductores femeninos internos normales (ovarios, útero y trompas de Falopio) y también pueden tener los siguientes cambios externos:

Los niños no tendrán problemas obvios al nacer. Sin embargo, parecen llegar a la pubertad a tan sólo los dos o tres años de edad. Los cambios pueden abarcar:

  • Voz gruesa
  • Aparición temprana de vello púbico y axilar
  • Desarrollo precoz de características masculinas
  • Pene agrandado
  • Testículos pequeños
  • Músculos bien desarrollados

Tanto los niños como las niñas tendrán la estatura de cualquier niño cuando pequeños, pero serán mucho más bajos de lo normal cuando sean adultos.

Algunas formas de hiperplasia suprarrenal congénita son más graves y ocasionan crisis suprarrenal en el recién nacido debido a la pérdida de sal. Los recién nacidos con estas formas desarrollan síntomas poco después de nacer, como:

Las pruebas genéticas pueden ayudar a diagnosticar, confirmar y tratar la enfermedad.

Esta enfermedad también puede afectar los resultados de los siguientes exámenes:

  • Estriol en suero
  • Estriol en orina
  • Pregnanediol
