Artritis psoriásica - Overview

Artritis soriásica

Definición:

Es un tipo de artritis que a menudo ocurre con psoriasis de la piel.

Causas:

La psoriasis es una afección cutánea crónica y común que produce parches rojos en el cuerpo. Alrededor de 1 de cada 20 personas con psoriasis desarrollará artritis con la afección cutánea. En la mayoría de los casos, la psoriasis se presenta antes que la artritis.

La causa de la artritis psoriásica se desconoce, pero los genes pueden jugar un papel en ello. En general, las personas que tienen psoriasis presentan una mayor tasa de artritis que la población general.
