Artritis soriásica

Síntomas:

La artritis puede ser leve y comprometer sólo unas cuantas articulaciones, particularmente aquellas al final de los dedos de las manos o de los pies. En algunas personas, la enfermedad puede ser severa y afectar muchas articulaciones, incluyendo la columna vertebral. Cuando la columna vertebral resulta afectada, los síntomas son rigidez, ardor y dolor, con mayor frecuencia en la región lumbar y el sacro.

Las personas que también tienen artritis por lo regular presentan cambios en la piel y las uñas por la psoriasis. Con frecuencia, la piel empeora al mismo tiempo que la artritis.

Pruebas y exámenes:

Durante un examen físico, el médico buscará:

Inflamación de las articulaciones
Parches cutáneos (psoriasis) y hoyuelos en las uñas
Sensibilidad

Se pueden tomar radiografías de la articulación.
