Artritis tuberculosa - Symptom

Artritis granulomatosa

Síntomas:

Disminución del movimiento de las articulaciones
Sudoración excesiva, especialmente durante la noche
Inflamación articular con articulaciones sensibles y calientes
Fiebre baja
Atrofia muscular
Espasmos musculares
Entumecimiento, hormigueo o debilidad por debajo de la infección (si la columna está comprometida)
Pérdida de peso o inapetencia

Nota: la afección por lo general comienza lentamente y por lo regular compromete sólo una articulación.

Signos y exámenes:

Un examen físico muestra hinchazón e irritación (inflamación) de la articulación.

Exámenes:

Aspiración del líquido articular
Biopsia de la articulación para detectar las bacterias que causan la tuberculosis
Radiografía del tórax
Tomografía computarizada de la columna
Radiografías de las articulaciones
Prueba cutánea de tuberculina (también llamada PPD)
