Estenosis de la columna
Definición:
Es el estrechamiento del canal de la columna cervical (cuello) o lumbar (espalda) que causa compresión en las raÃces del nervio.
Causas, incidencia y factores de riesgo:
La estenosis de la columna ocurre en personas de edad mediana o avanzada y puede ser causada por osteoartritis , enfermedad de Paget o como resultado de una lesión que causa compresión en las raÃces del nervio y/o en la misma médula espinal.
