La nefropatía por IgA generalmente se descubre después de uno o más episodios de orina con sangre u oscura en una persona sin ningún otro síntoma de trastorno renal.
No se observan cambios específicos durante el examen físico. En ocasiones, la presión arterial puede estar elevada o puede haber una hinchazón en el cuerpo.
