Prevención:

En muchos casos este problema no se puede prevenir. Se recomiendan los chequeos médicos anuales de rutina con un médico general. Si se encuentra que el paciente presenta una uropatía obstructiva aguda, éste debe ir a la sala de emergencias más cercana y consultar con el urólogo.
