Prevención:

Antes de tener una resonancia magnética, una tomografía computarizada u otro examen imagenológico donde usted pueda recibir un medio de contraste que contenga yodo, coméntele al médico. Estos tintes pueden dañar posteriormente los riñones.

Los analgésicos normalmente usados, como ibuprofeno, naproxeno e inhibidores de COX-2 recetados como el celecoxib (Celebrex), pueden lesionar el riñón debilitado. Siempre hable con el médico antes de usar cualquiera de estos fármacos.
