Hiperviscosidad en los recién nacidos - Symptom

Síntomas:

Los síntomas pueden abarcar:

  • Somnolencia extrema
  • Problemas de alimentación
  • Convulsiones
  • Tez muy rubicunda

Pruebas y exámenes:

Puede haber signos de problemas respiratorios, insuficiencia renal e ictericia del recién nacido.

Si el bebé tiene síntomas de hiperviscosidad, se hace un examen de sangre, llamado hematocrito, para contar el número de glóbulos rojos.

Otros exámenes pueden abarcar:

  • Gasometría arterial para verificar el nivel de oxígeno en la sangre
  • Glucemia para verificar el nivel de azúcar en la sangre
  • Nitrógeno ureico en sangre (BUN), una sustancia que se forma cuando se descompone la proteína
  • Creatinina, una sustancia producida por los músculos que se puede acumular en la sangre si los riñones no están funcionando apropiadamente
  • Análisis de orina
