Leucemia linfocÃtica aguda
Nombres alternativos:

SÃntomas:
- EncÃas sangrantes
- Dolor o sensibilidad en los huesos
- Tendencia a la formación de hematomas
- Sangrado profuso o prolongado
- Fatiga
- Fiebre
- Dolor articular
- Infección
- Irregularidades menstruales
- Sangrado nasal
- Palidez
- Palpitaciones
- Pequeñas manchas rojas en la piel
- Dificultad para respirar (agravada por el ejercicio)
- Ganglios inflamados ( linfoadenopatÃa )
- Inflamación de las encÃas
- Pérdida de peso involuntaria
Signos y exámenes:
Un examen fÃsico puede revelar lo siguiente:
- Hematomas
- Hepatomegalia y esplenomegalia
- Signos de sangrado ( petequias , púrpura )
Los exámenes de sangre pueden mostrar lo siguiente:
- Conteo de glóbulos blancos sanguÃneos anormal
- Anemia en un CSC
- Conteo de plaquetas bajo
Una aspiración de médula ósea puede mostrar niveles anormales de ciertas células.
La leucemia linfocÃtica aguda también puede cambiar los resultados de los siguientes exámenes:
- Conteo de linfocitos T
- Pruebas analÃticas para leucemia/linfoma de células B
- Fórmula leucocitaria
Si a una persona se le diagnostica leucemia linfocÃtica aguda, se le harán pruebas genéticas para determinar el tipo especÃfico de dicha leucemia. Los médicos pueden buscar cambios cromosómicos en las células de algunas leucemias. Las leucemias con ciertos tipos de cambios cromosómicos tienen un diagnóstico desalentador, mientras que aquellas con otros tipos de genes pueden tener un pronóstico muy bueno.
