Tratamiento:

La enfermedad que causó el trastorno se puede tratar y, algunas veces, se utiliza el tratamiento que disminuye el sistema inmunitario (terapia inmunodepresora). Los casos ocasionados por sífilis mejoran con el tratamiento de esta enfermedad.

Expectativas (pronóstico):

Muchos casos mejoran sin tratamiento y, en algunas personas, los ataques se pueden presentar muchas veces durante años.
