Eliptocitosis de tipo hereditario

Síntomas:

  • Ictericia prolongada en el neonato
  • Ictericia en personas diferentes a un neonato
  • Fatiga
  • Dificultad para respirar

Signos y exámenes:

Un examen físico por parte del médico ocasionalmente puede mostrar esplenomegalia.

Los siguientes exámenes pueden ayudar a diagnosticar la afección:

  • CSC (Conteo Sanguíneo Completo) puede mostrar anemia o destrucción de las células
  • Un frotis de sangre puede mostrar glóbulos rojos elípticos
  • La bilirrubina puede estar elevada
  • La LDH puede estar elevada
  • Una colecistografía (radiografía de la vesícula biliar) puede mostrar cálculos biliares
