Definición:

La anemia es una afección en la cual el cuerpo no tiene suficientes glóbulos rojos sanos. Los glóbulos rojos le suministran oxígeno a los tejidos corporales. Existen muchos tipos de anemia.

La anemia por enfermedad crónica es un trastorno sanguíneo que se refiere a la anemia que se encuentra en personas con ciertas afecciones médicas prolongadas (crónicas).

Causas:

La anemia es un número de glóbulos rojos en la sangre inferior a lo normal. Ciertas infecciones crónicas, enfermedades inflamatorias y otros padecimientos pueden afectar la capacidad del cuerpo para producir glóbulos rojos.
