Prevención:
La anemia causada por falta de vitamina B12 se puede prevenir con una dieta bien balanceada. Las inyecciones de vitamina B12 pueden prevenir la anemia después de intervenciones quirúrgicas que se sabe dejan como secuela una deficiencia de esta vitamina. El diagnóstico y el tratamiento oportunos pueden limitar la gravedad y complicaciones de este tipo de anemia.
