Herpes labial (herpes simple oral)

SÃntomas:
Los sÃntomas de advertencia como prurito , sensación de quemazón, aumento de la sensibilidad u hormigueo se pueden presentar unos dos dÃas antes de la aparición de las lesiones.
- Lesiones en la piel o erupción alrededor de los labios, boca y encÃas

Ampollas (vesÃculas) pequeñas, que contienen un lÃquido claro amarillento:
- ampollas enrojecidas, levantadas y dolorosas en un área de la piel
- las vesÃculas se forman, se rompen y drenan
- se forman costras amarillas que al caer dejan ver el aspecto rosado de la piel cicatricial
- varias ampollas pequeñas que emergen para formar una ampolla más grande
- Se puede presentar fiebre leve
Signos y exámenes:
El diagnóstico se hace sobre la base de la apariencia de la lesión o un cultivo de la misma. En el momento del examen fÃsico también se puede encontrar agrandamiento de los ganglios linfáticos del cuello o la ingle.
El cultivo del virus o la prueba de Tzanck de la lesión cutánea puede revelar la presencia del virus del herpes simple.
