Síndrome de Waterhouse-Friderichsen - Overview

Definición:

Es una insuficiencia de las glándulas suprarrenales debido a sangrado dentro de dichas glándulas y es causado por una infección meningocócica severa u otra infección bacteriana grave.

Los síntomas abarcan insuficiencia suprarrenal aguda y shock profundo. Este síndrome es mortal si no se trata de inmediato.
