Prevención:

La pasteurización de la leche y una adecuada cocción de los alimentos destruyen la bacteria que causa la fiebre Q temprana. Igualmente, se recomienda inspeccionar a los animales para buscar signos de la enfermedad en caso de que personas que hayan estado en contacto con ellos hayan desarrollado síntomas de fiebre Q.
