Si usted presenta brotes frecuentes de candidiasis bucal, el médico le puede recomendar tomar medicamentos antimicóticos regularmente para evitar infecciones recurrentes.
Si un bebé con candidiasis bucal está lactando, hable con el médico acerca de las formas apropiadas de prevenir las infecciones futuras, como un medicamento antimicótico. Esterilice o descarte cualquier chupete. En el caso de los bebés con candidiasis bucal alimentados con biberón, descarte la tetina y compre unas nuevas a medida que la boca del bebé comience a curarse.
