Erisipeloide - All Information

Definición:

Es una inflamación de la piel ( dermatitis) debido a bacterias.

Causas, incidencia y factores de riesgo:

El erisipeloide es una infección causada por las bacterias Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae. Este tipo de bacterias se encuentra en peces, pájaros, mamíferos y mariscos, y normalmente afecta a las personas que trabajan con estos animales, como granjeros o carniceros.

Síntomas:

El síntoma principal es el calor, la sensibilidad y el enrojecimiento en la piel.

Tratamiento:

Para tratar esta afección, se administran antibióticos orales, especialmente penicilina.

Expectativas (pronóstico):

La infección rara vez se propaga y puede mejorar por sí sola.
