Prevención:

La abstinencia de la actividad sexual es la única manera absoluta de prevenir una enfermedad de transmisión sexual. Las prácticas sexuales con precaución pueden reducir el riesgo.

El uso apropiado de condones, ya sea masculinos o femeninos, reduce enormemente la probabilidad de contraer una enfermedad de transmisión sexual. El condón se debe usar desde el inicio hasta el final de cada actividad sexual.
