Donovanosis
Los antibióticos se utilizan para tratar el granuloma inguinal y la curación completa requiere de un tratamiento bastante largo. La mayoría de los esquemas de tratamiento duran tres semanas o hasta que las lesiones hayan sanado por completo.
Es esencial una evaluación de seguimiento debido a que la enfermedad puede reaparecer después de una curación aparentemente exitosa.
El tratamiento oportuno de la enfermedad disminuye las posibilidades de destrucción o cicatrización del tejido pero, sin tratamiento, la enfermedad ocasiona destrucción del tejido genital.
Solicite una cita con el médico si ha tenido contacto sexual con una persona que se sabe que tiene un granuloma inguinal o si usted presenta síntomas similares a los descritos anteriormente.
