Esofagitis por herpes - Tratamiento

Tratamiento:

El objetivo del tratamiento es el control de la infección con medicamentos antivirales. Algunas personas también toman analgésicos.

Expectativas (pronóstico):

La esofagitis por lo general se puede tratar en forma efectiva. El resultado depende del problema con el sistema inmunitario que hace que la persona tenga más probabilidad de desarrollar la infección.

Complicaciones:

Incluyen infecciones recurrentes.

Situaciones que requieren asistencia médica:

La persona debe consultar con el médico si padece cualquier afección que pueda provocar una disminución en la respuesta inmunitaria y desarrolla síntomas de esofagitis por herpes.
