Peritonitis relacionada con diálisis
El objetivo del tratamiento es curar la infección. Los antibióticos se aplican en una vena (inyección intravenosa) o dentro del revestimiento del abdomen (peritoneo).
Los exámenes de laboratorio que muestran qué bacteria u hongo está causando la infección determinarán el tipo de antibiótico empleado.
La mayoría de los pacientes se recupera.
Es posible que sea necesario retirar el catéter de la diálisis.
Consulte con el médico si recibe tratamientos de diálisis peritoneal y presenta síntomas de peritonitis.
