Equinococosis
Nombres alternativos:
Enfermedad hidatÃdica; Hidatidosis; Enfermedad del quiste hidatÃdico
SÃntomas:
- Dolor abdominal en el cuadrante superior derecho
- Prurito cutáneo severo
- Tos
- Esputo con sangre
- Dolor en el pecho
- Fiebre
Signos y exámenes:
Un examen fÃsico puede revelar dolor abdominal, compromiso de otros órganos, signos cutáneos y ocasionalmente shock .
Los siguientes exámenes se pueden llevar a cabo para determinar la presencia y localización de los quistes:
- Una radiografÃa de tórax
- Una ecografÃa o una TC de tórax
- Una radiografÃa abdominal
- Una ecografÃa o una TC abdominal
- Pruebas de anticuerpos para equinococo
- Pruebas de función hepática
Con mucha frecuencia, la equinococosis no causa sÃntomas y se descubre accidentalmente cuando se hace un estudio imagenológico por otra razón.
