Infección por VIH asintomática
SÃntomas:
La infección por VIH asintomática, por definición, se caracteriza por la ausencia de sÃntomas asociados con HIV, como fiebres, pérdida de peso, afta oral o cualquier infección oportunista (como neumonÃa por Pneumocystis carinii , cytomegalovirus y Mycobacterium avium ).
Signos y exámenes:
El diagnóstico de la infección por VIH se basa en exámenes sanguÃneos estándar, como la prueba de anticuerpos para VIH ELISA , seguido por el examen de confirmación inmunoblot .
