Prevención:

En general, no hay una forma de prevención conocida para las convulsiones. Sin embargo, la probabilidad de desencadenar una convulsión se puede reducir tomando los medicamentos de acuerdo con las instrucciones, durmiendo bien, consumiendo una dieta apropiada y absteniéndose del consumo de alcohol y drogas.

El uso de equipo protector para la cabeza y el hecho de evitar comportamientos de riesgo reducen la posibilidad de sufrir traumatismos craneales.
