Síntomas:

Pueden presentarse otros síntomas si la causa es un tumor o un traumatismo. La pérdida progresiva del conocimiento es un signo grave porque podría ser indicio de daño cerebral o la muerte.

Signos y exámenes:

Un examen ocular puede mostrar:

  • Pupila del ojo afectado agrandada (dilatada)
  • Anomalías en los movimientos de los ojos
  • Ojos desalineados (mirada desacoplada)

Una evaluación médica y neurológica (sistema nervioso) completa puede revelar si otras partes del cuerpo están afectadas.
