Accidente cerebrovascular secundario a la sífilis

Un accidente cerebrovascular es una complicación potencialmente mortal de una infección por sífilis prolongada.

Causas, incidencia y factores de riesgo:

La sífilis terciaria sin tratar y en etapa terminal puede causar inflamación y obstrucción de las arterias que irrigan el cerebro. Un accidente ceebrovascular es una interrupción del suministro de sangre a cualquier parte del cerebro y puede llevar a que se presente daño en el tejido cerebral.
