Síndrome oculoglandular de Parinaud - Symptom

Síndrome oculoglandular

Síntomas:

  • Ojo rojo, irritado y con dolor (similar a la conjuntivitis)
  • Fiebre
  • Sensación de malestar general
  • Aumento del lagrimeo (posible)
  • Hinchazón de los ganglios linfáticos cercanos (con frecuencia frente al oído)

Signos y exámenes:

Un examen muestra:

  • Fiebre y otros signos de enfermedad
  • Enrojecimiento, sensibilidad e inflamación ocular
  • Es posible que se presenten ganglios linfáticos sensibles frente al oído
  • Puede haber crecimientos (nódulos conjuntivales) en el interior del párpado o la esclerótica del ojo

Se llevarán a cabo exámenes de sangre para verificar si hay infección. Un conteo de leucocitos puede estar alto o bajo, dependiendo de la causa de la infección.

Los exámenes de sangre para verificar los niveles de anticuerpos son los principales métodos utilizados para diagnosticar muchas de las infecciones que ocasionan el síndrome oculoglandular de Parinaud. Otros exámenes pueden abarcar:
