Tratamiento:

Los antibióticos pueden ser útiles, dependiendo de la causa de la infección, y es posible que sea necesario hacer una intervención quirúrgica para extraer el tejido infectado.

Expectativas (pronóstico):

El pronóstico depende de la causa de la infección subyacente. En términos generales, si se hace un diagnóstico a tiempo y se inicia un tratamiento oportuno, el pronóstico del síndrome de Parinaud puede ser muy bueno.

Complicaciones:

Es posible la diseminación de la infección hacia tejidos circundantes o al torrente sanguíneo.
Se pueden presentar complicaciones oculares que ocasionen ceguera.

Se debe buscar asistencia médica si se desarrolla dolor, enrojecimiento o irritación en el ojo.
