Accidente cerebrovascular secundario a la aterosclerosis
SÃntomas:
- Debilidad o incapacidad total de mover alguna parte del cuerpo
- Entumecimiento , pérdida de sensibilidad
- Hormigueo u otras sensaciones anormales
- Pérdida o disminución de la visión que puede ser parcial o temporal
- Dificultades del lenguaje ( afasia )
- Incapacidad de reconocer o identificar estÃmulos sensoriales (agnosia)
- Pérdida de la memoria
- Parálisis facial
- Párpado caÃdo
- Vértigo (sensación anormal de movimiento)
- Pérdida de coordinación
- Dificultad para deglutir
- Cambios en la personalidad
- Cambios en el estado de ánimo y en las emociones
- Incontinencia urinaria (falta de control sobre la vejiga)
- Falta de control sobre los intestinos
- Cambios en el estado de conciencia :
Signos y exámenes:
Los exámenes son los mismos que se realizan en caso de accidente cerebrovascular. Los exámenes de sangre pueden mostrar niveles altos de colesterol.
Otros exámenes y procedimientos que se pueden llevar a cabo son:
- TC de cabeza
- IRM de cabeza
- ECG ( electrocardiograma )
- Ecocardiograma (busca un émbolo cardÃaco)
- Dúplex carotÃdeo ( ultrasonido )
- Doppler transcraneal (se observan los vasos sanguÃneos dentro del cerebro)
