Neuritis retro-orbitaria
Es la inflamación del nervio óptico que puede causar una reducción repentina de la visión en el ojo afectado.
La causa de la neuritis óptica se desconoce.
La inflamación repentina del nervio que conecta el ojo con el cerebro (nervio óptico) puede lesionar el aislamiento (vaina de mielina) que rodea cada fibra nerviosa, provocando hinchazón del nervio.
