Tortícolis - Symptom

Nombres alternativos

Loxia; Cuello torcido

Síntomas:

Rango de movimiento limitado de la cabeza
Dolor de cabeza
Temblor de la cabeza
Dolor cervical
El hombro está más alto en un lado del cuerpo
Rigidez de los músculos del cuello
Hinchazón de los músculos del cuello (posiblemente presente al nacer)

Signos y exámenes:

Se pueden realizar diversos exámenes o procedimientos para descartar las posibles causas del dolor de cuello y de cabeza. Un examen físico revelará un acortamiento visible de los músculos del cuello y la cabeza se inclinará hacia el lado afectado, mientras que la barbilla apunta hacia el lado contrario. En casos más severos, toda la cabeza tira y gira hacia un lado.

Se puede hacer una electromiografía (EMG) en casos leves para ver cuáles músculos están más afectados.
