La mayorÃa de los casos de accidente cerebrovascular hemorrágico están asociados con factores de riesgo especÃficos, como presión arterial elevada, fumar o consumir cocaÃna. El control de la presión arterial y evitar el cigarrillo y la cocaÃna puede reducir las posibilidades de sangrado cerebral. La corrección quirúrgica de las anomalÃas vasculares, como aneurismas o malformaciones arteriovenosas, en algunas ocasiones es recomendable para prevenir el sangrado.
