Abstinencia alcohólica - Symptom

Síntomas:

Los síntomas de abstinencia del alcohol se presentan por lo regular al cabo de 5 a 10 horas después del último trago, pero pueden ocurrir días más tarde. Los síntomas empeoran en 48 a 72 horas y pueden continuar por semanas.

Los síntomas comunes abarcan:

  • Ansiedad o nerviosismo
  • Depresión
  • Dificultad para pensar con claridad
  • Fatiga
  • Irritabilidad
  • Sobresaltos o temblores
  • Altibajos en el estado de ánimo
  • Pesadillas

Pruebas y exámenes:

El médico llevará a cabo un examen físico. Esto puede revelar:

  • Movimientos anormales de los ojos
  • Ritmos cardíacos anormales
  • Insuficiencia de líquidos en el cuerpo (deshidratación)
  • Fiebre
  • Respiración rápida
  • Frecuencia cardíaca rápida
  • Manos temblorosas

Se pueden realizar exámenes de sangre y orina, como un examen toxicológico.
