Hematoma subdural crónico - Symptom

Hematoma subdural de tipo crónico; Higroma subdural; Hemorragia subdural crónica

Síntomas:

En algunos casos, es posible que no se presenten síntomas. Sin embargo, dependiendo del tamaño del hematoma y de dónde éste ejerza presión sobre el cerebro, se pueden presentar cualquiera de los siguientes síntomas:

  • Confusión o coma
  • Disminución de la memoria
  • Dificultad al hablar o deglutir
  • Dificultad para caminar
  • Dolores de cabeza
  • Crisis epiléptica
  • Debilidad o insensibilidad en brazos, piernas, rostro

Signos y exámenes:

El médico hará preguntas acerca de la historia clínica. En el examen físico, se evaluará cuidadosamente el cerebro y el sistema nervioso para verificar si hay problemas con:

  • Equilibrio
  • Coordinación
  • Funciones mentales
  • Sensibilidad
  • Fortaleza
  • Marcha

Debido a que los signos y los síntomas a menudo son sutiles, muy probablemente se hará una tomografía computarizada o una resonancia magnética de la cabeza para una evaluación adicional de los síntomas, si existe cualquier sospecha de un hematoma.
