Prevención:
La tipificación ABO y la tipificación del HLA (antÃgeno tisular) antes del trasplante ayudan a asegurar que se logre una compatibilidad lo más cercana posible. Generalmente, se requiere suprimir el sistema inmunológico del paciente receptor del trasplante por el resto de su vida para evitar el rechazo del tejido en el futuro.
