Granuloma anular - Treatment

Tratamiento:

Debido a que el granuloma anular por lo regular no causa síntomas, es posible que no se requiera tratamiento, excepto por razones estéticas.

Algunas veces, se utilizan cremas esteroides tópicas muy fuertes o ungüentos para eliminar la erupción más rápidamente. Las inyecciones de esteroides directamente en los anillos también pueden ser efectivas. Algunos médicos pueden optar por congelar las protuberancias con nitrógeno líquido.

Las personas con casos severos o generalizados pueden necesitar terapia con luz ultravioleta o medicamentos orales.

Expectativas (pronóstico):

La mayoría de los granulomas anulares desaparecen sin tratamiento al cabo de dos años. Algunas veces, sin embargo, los anillos pueden permanecer durante muchos años. Es común que aparezcan anillos nuevos años más tarde.

Situaciones que requieren asistencia médica:

Consulte con el médico si nota un anillo en cualquier parte de la piel que no desaparece al cabo de unas pocas semanas.
