Prevención:

Evite el contacto sexual o íntimo con personas infectadas. Si lleva una vida sexual activa, practique relaciones sexuales con precaución para evitar el contagio de los piojos.

Se recomienda siempre una buena higiene personal y, en la medida de lo posible, evitar probarse trajes de baño al ir de compras. Sin embargo, si se los tiene que probar, asegúrese de llevar puesta la ropa interior, lo cual puede prevenir la transmisión.
