Urticaria

- Prurito
- Inflamación de la superficie de la piel con verdugones o ronchas de color similar al de la piel o rojizo con bordes claramente definidos
Las ronchas se pueden agrandar, diseminar y unir para formar áreas de piel plana y elevadas más grandes. También pueden cambiar de forma, desaparecer y reaparecer en minutos u horas. Las ronchas tienden a comenzar súbitamente y resolverse de manera rápida. Cuando se presiona el centro de una roncha roja, ésta se torna blanca.
Signos y exámenes:
El médico puede diagnosticar la urticaria observando la apariencia de la piel y, si la persona tiene antecedentes de alergias, entonces el diagnóstico es aún más obvio. Ocasionalmente, se hacen exámenes de sangre o de la piel para confirmar que se trató de una reacción alérgica y evaluar la sustancia que causó dicha respuesta alérgica.
