Papilomas cutáneos

Tratamiento:
Por lo general no se requiere tratamiento, a menos que los tumores cutáneos sean irritantes o desagradables desde un punto de vista estético. Los tumores se pueden extirpar quirúrgicamente, por congelación ( crioterapia ) o por quemadura eléctrica (cauterización).
Expectativas (pronóstico):
Los papilomas cutáneos generalmente son benignos y no suelen ser molestos, aunque pueden irritarse o ser estéticamente desagradables. No vuelven a crecer ni formar cicatrices una vez extirpados, pero pueden aparecer nuevos tumores en otras partes del cuerpo.
Complicaciones:
En general no hay complicaciones. En ciertas ocasiones puede producirse una irritación o incomodidad y es posible que sean desagradables a la vista.
Situaciones que requieren asistencia médica:
Se debe buscar asistencia médica si se presentan papilomas cutáneos y la persona desea hacérselos extirpar o si la apariencia de uno de estos papilomas cambia.Â
