Eritema multiforme - Síntomas

Síntomas:

  • Lesiones cutáneas múltiples
    • Con inicio súbito, puede recurrir
    • Puede diseminarse
    • Puede aparecer como nódulo, pápula o mácula
    • Lesión central rodeada de anillos concéntricos de palidez y enrojecimiento, también denominada "diana", "iris" o "blanco"
    • Puede tener vesículas y bulas (ampollas de diferentes tamaños)
    • Localizada en las cuerpo superior, piernas, brazos, palmas, manos o pies
    • Puede comprometer la cara o los labios
    • Generalmente es simétrica

El diagnóstico se fundamenta principalmente en la apariencia clásica de la lesión cutánea y la distribución simétrica típica, especialmente si hay una historia de factores de riesgo o enfermedades asociadas.

Puede haber un signo de Nikolsky positivo.

Una biopsia de la lesión cutánea y el examen microscópico pueden ser útiles para diferenciar el eritema multiforme de otros trastornos. El eritema multiforme puede mostrar muerte de tejido y otros cambios. El examen microscópico del tejido también puede mostrar depósitos de anticuerpos.
