Herpes zóster o culebrilla
Evite el contacto con salpullidos y ampollas de personas con herpes zóster o varicela si nunca ha sufrido de varicela o no ha recibido la vacuna contra esta enfermedad.
Hay disponibilidad de una vacuna contra el herpes zóster y es diferente de la vacuna contra la varicela. Los adultos mayores que reciben la vacuna contra el herpes zóster tienen menos probabilidad de tener complicaciones por esta enfermedad. Los adultos mayores de 60 años deben recibir la vacuna contra el herpes zóster como parte de los cuidados médicos de rutina.
