Impétigo
Prevención:
Se debe prevenir la diseminación de la infección. Si la persona tiene impétigo, debe usar siempre un paño y toalla de manos limpios cada vez y no compartir toallas, prendas de vestir, máquinas de afeitar, etc., con otros miembros de la familia. Igualmente, se recomienda lavarse las manos minuciosamente después de tocar las lesiones de la piel.
Una buena salud e higiene general ayudan a prevenir la infección. Las abrasiones menores o áreas de piel lesionada se deben limpiar minuciosamente con agua y jabón y si se desea, se puede aplicar un agente antibacteriano suave.
El impétigo es contagioso, por lo tanto se debe evitar el contacto con las lesiones que drenan o supuran.
