Definición:

Es un trastorno relacionado con alergias en el cual aparecen manchas o parches pruriginosos en forma de moneda sobre la piel.

La causa del eccema numular se desconoce, pero generalmente hay antecedentes personales o familiares de asma, alergias , dermatitis atópica o trastornos similares. Esta afección es relativamente poco común y se presenta más frecuentemente en los hombres de edad avanzada.
