Prevención:
Para prevenir el pie de atleta, siga estas medidas:
- Séquese completamente los pies después de bañarse o nadar.
- Use sandalias o chancletas en los baños y piscinas públicas.
- Cámbiese los calcetines lo más frecuentemente posible para mantener los pies secos; esto debe hacerse al menos una vez al día.
- Utilice talcos antimicóticos o de secado para prevenir el pie de atleta si es susceptible a contraerlo o si usted frecuenta áreas donde el hongo que lo causa es común (como los baños públicos).
- Use zapatos bien ventilados y preferiblemente hechos de un material natural como el cuero. Puede ayudar el hecho de alternar los zapatos cada día, de manera que se puedan secar por completo entre puestas. Evite los zapatos con revestimiento de plástico.
