Tiña crural - Overview

Definición:

Es una infección de la zona inguinal causada por un hongo.

Causas:

La tiña crural se presenta cuando un tipo particular de hongo prolifera y se disemina en el área de la ingle.

Aparece sobre todo en hombres adultos y muchachos adolescentes. Algunas veces, puede acompañar al pie de atleta y la dermatofitosis. El hongo que causa la tiña crural prospera en áreas cálidas y húmedas.

La tiña crural se puede desencadenar por fricción de las ropas y la humedad prolongada de la piel en el área inguinal, por ejemplo, por la transpiración.

Puede ser contagiosa y transmitirse de una persona a otra por medio del contacto directo con la piel o por el contacto con ropa sin lavar.
