Los síntomas de preeclampsia comprenden hinchazón en las manos y en la cara, aumento de peso de más de 2 libras por semana, dolor de cabeza y dolor de estómago. Ver preeclampsia .
El médico lleva a cabo un examen físico y descarta otras posibles causas de las convulsiones. Se verifica y controla la presión sanguínea y la frecuencia respiratoria. Igualmente, se pueden realizar exámenes de sangre para verificar:
